Additional information concerning visa requirements for Moldova:

1. BUSINESS VISA (for businessmen, officials or students)

1. passport (valid for at least 6 months)
2. photograph (35x45)
3. application form
4. invitation letter from a company or institution authorized by the General Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova – vehicle registration document for travel by car.

Visa extension – Information Technology (IT) Department

Registration is due to be made three working days upon arrival (to the District of the IT Department)

Visa is issued the same day

2. ORDINARY VISA (visits to relatives, friends, etc):

1. passport (valid for at least 6 months)
2. photograph (35x45)
3. application form
4. invitation letter from an inviter (original or special application form issued by the IT Department)
5. vehicle registration document for travel by car

Visa extension – IT Department

Registration is due to be made three working days upon arrival (to the District of the IT Department)

Visa is issued the same day.

3. TOURIST VISA

1. passport (valid for at least 6 months)
2. photograph (35x45)
3. application form
4. tourist voucher issued by a licenced travel agency. List of tourists must be authorized by IT Service. The same Service is also authorized to extend visas.
5. vehicle registration document for travel by car

Visa is issued for a period of maximum one month (one entry-exit or two entries-exits)

Visa extension – IT Department

Registration is due to be made three working days upon arrival (to the District of the IT Department)

4. TRANSIT VISA

1. passport (valid for at least 6 months)
2. photograph (35x45)
3. application form
4. visa of the country of departure
5. ticket (air or railway ticket)
6. vehicle registration document for travel by car

Visa is issued for one or two transits – maximum stop over of 48 hours

Visa is issued the same day.

5. DIIPLOMATIC VISA

1. passport
2. photograph (35x45)
3. application form
4. official letter provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova
5. vehicle registration document for travel by car

Visa extension – by the Consulate General Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova.

6. (Entry-exit) visa can by obtained in the diplomatic or consular offices of Moldova or in its embassies in Bucharest, Budapest or Sofia.
