Entry and Stay of the Citizens of Serbia in the Republic of
Slovenia
There is no visa requirement for citizens of Serbia holding
valid national passports for:
1. an entry and stay in the Republic of Slovenia of up to 90 days:
- if they have a residence permit granted by a Schengen state (Austria,
Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg,
Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden) or by the United
Kingdom or Ireland, valid for more than three months on the date of entry into
Slovenia.
2. an entry and stay in the Republic of Slovenia of up to 15 days:
- if they have a residence permit of any of the States referred to in
paragraph 1, valid for more than 15 days on the date of entry into the
Republic of Slovenia enabling the holder to return to the State that issued
the document;
- if they have a C type visa granted by any of the states referred to in
paragraph 1, valid for more than 15 days on the date of crossing the Slovenian
border;
- if they have a national visa, type D, issued by any of the states referred
to in paragraph 1, valid for more than 15 days on the date of entry into the
Republic of Slovenia;
- if they have a combined D and C visa issued by any of the states referred
to in paragraph 1, valid for more than 15 days on the date of entry into
Slovenia.
3. transit through the Republic of Slovenia:
- if they have a residence permit granted by any of the states referred to
in paragraph 1, valid for more than 5 days on the date of crossing the
Slovenian border;
- if they have C type visa issued by any of the states referred to in
paragraph 1 valid, for more than 5 days on the date of crossing the Slovenian
border;
- if they have a national visa, type D, issued by any of the states referred
to in paragraph 1, valid for more than 5 days on the date of entry into the
Republic of Slovenia;
- if they have a combined D and C visa issued by any of the states from
paragraph 1, valid for more than 5 days on the date of entry into Slovenia.
Upon leaving the states referred to in paragraph I/1 above, to return to the
state of residence, they are allowed to transit the Republic of Slovenia also in
cases in which the validity of the documents referred to in paragraph I/3 above
is less than 5 days despite the allowed number of entries. In such cases the
holder is allowed to transit and leave the Republic of Slovenia. However, the
holder must fulfil conditions for entering the indicated state of destination.
This Decision reached by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia will take
effect on 26 June 2003.
Holders of diplomatic and official passports have been exempted from a visa requirement
under a bilateral agreement.
