SERBIA'S INITIATIVE LEGITIMATE, BUT WILL NOT BE OF HELP

PRISTINA, Oct 6 (Tanjug) - The high representative of the EU in Kosovo and Metohija, Pieter Feith, said that it is the legitimate right of Serbia to ask for the opinion of the International Court of Justice, but that this will not be of help in the current circumstances. The independence of Kosovo is irrevocable, this is not negotiable and is a closed issue. This should be borne in mind in our future discourse, Feith told a conference organized by the Foreign Policy Club. Feith added that Serbia should be told clearly that it cannot go forward in its integrations towards the EU, if it continues to create problems in the deployment of EUlex.
