BELGRADE, Oct 6 (Tanjug) -Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said that possible Montenegro's recognition of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo-Metohija would represent a "stab in Serbia's back." I If Podgorica recognized the independence at this point, Serbia would not have any understanding for that and it would be "a stab in back" not only to Serbia, but also to our diplomatic efforts to resolve the issue of Kosovo status in a peaceful way, Jeremic said after a meeting with his Estonian counterpart Urmas Paet. Jeremic voiced expectation that Podgorica will wait for another two days, for UN General Assembly's vote on Serbia's initiative to seek the opinion of the International Court of Justice on the legality of the internationally proclaimed independence, and then for another year or two, in case that the initiative is accepted. Podgorica's decision to recognize the unilateral independence of Kosovo-Metohija could not go by without consequences, particularly not at such a delicate point, Jeremic said. We hope that Podgorica will not make any move which would jeopardize this process, Jeremic said pointing out that he made this clear to Montenegro's authorities. He refused to specify what measures Serbia would take in that case, stating that he does not want to make threats, and pointing out that the countries in the region have "more responsibility" than the others.
